Helping families create healthy, unique, and attainable homes.

We are Simple Art + Nature Home Architect, a design studio practicing since late 2008. We believe good design is a balance of art, function, atmosphere, and everyday comfort. Every project is guided by our idea of home. Not as a building, but as a place of belonging, identity, and comfort.

The motivation that keeps us improving.

From the beginning, our main motivation has been to answer common complaints about the housing market in Yogyakarta: poor quality at high prices, certificate transfer issues that remain unresolved until buyers have paid in full, permits that fail because spatial regulations are ignored, and unreliable construction quality such as roof leaks.

That motivation became our mission and the foundation of our practice. Our project gallery shows that we are able to carry it through.

A journey you can measure.

Each small mark on this timeline is one project we have designed and built to completion since 2008.

No twin homes, even within one cluster.

The added value we offer for middle-up housing is that there are no identical homes, even within one cluster. Our housing concept is a "boutique" alternative to the more common "convection" approach used by many other developers.

With the professionalism we keep developing, we aim to communicate the right and distinctive design ideas quickly to each client. Every family is unique to us, so a home should represent that family's identity.

Meaning behind the name

Simple Art

A clear architectural visual composition that arranges geometry, space, and functional planes with restraint. As much as possible, thoughtful and not overloaded with ornament.

Nature

A design orientation that is friendly to nature. We choose infill development, direct rainwater into absorption wells, and design comfortable spaces without AC that still receive enough daylight without lamps.

Home, not merely house.

We use "home" to reflect two things. First, it represents our work not merely as a physical "house", but as a "home" that carries a warm social atmosphere for a family.

Second, it represents our managerial character, built on a familial relationship between team and client. As architects, we use empathy to help create homes that are comfortable, distinctive, and a source of pride for families.

Scope of work

  • Housing cluster development
  • Site development partnerships
  • Individual home construction
  • Renovation
  • Interior furniture production
  • Banking facilities (mortgage)
